Job Description
We are seeking a Printer Technician to join our team on site. The ideal candidate will have experience in system monitoring, device maintenance, and incident resolution and a proven ability to deliver timely customer support while following established IT service processes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor systems, detect performance issues, and resolve technical problems on assigned platforms using defined protocols.
- Identify incident trends and escalate within strict timeframes per process.
- Conduct routine installations and configurations; assemble and integrate systems per standards.
- Respond to service, product, technical, and customer-relations inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Execute documented and approved scripted change activities while adhering to incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Meet daily production goals and contract response times with consistent quality.
- Align work with operational strategy and collaborate to implement process improvements.
- Maintain data confidentiality and support business processes with independent judgment.
- Complete process-oriented assignments, share technical information, and support departmental plans.
- OSA Level II on-site support: manage consumable inventory, replace toner/consumables/paper, ensure consumable availability, clear paper jams, assist end users with device functionality, coordinate with HP software-branded support, report customer dissatisfaction to CSM/SDM, collect usage pages as needed, swap devices with spares, and perform initial troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of HP products and service offerings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical audiences and first-line management.
- Active listening with the ability to tailor messages to the audience.
- Problem-solving skills using defined procedures in proactive and reactive contexts.
- Conceptual understanding of IT environments and service management processes.
- Experience level: typically 2-5 years in related work, preferably maintenance or quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Associate degree in a technical field or higher.
- Experience supporting customer-facing device fleets and following ITIL-based processes.
