Location: Remote - USA

Expected Duration: 12 Months Job Type: [>%3D40 weeks] [Contract] [Remote]. Pay Range: $65- $70/hr. on W2.Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Title: Lab Engineer IIDuration: 12 Months contractLocation: Onsite - Sunnyvale, CA Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Battery Test Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing battery testing protocols using Maccor battery testers. The ideal candidate will have experience with Maccor test scripts and be proficient in Python programming language for minimal data processing. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute battery testing protocols using Maccor battery testers
- Create and modify Maccor test scripts to meet specific testing requirements
- Write Python code for minimal data processing and analysis of battery test results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve battery-related issues
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for battery testing procedures and results
- Analyse and interpret battery test data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement
- Pack Level testing involving uBMU qualification
- Manage projects end-to-end, including incoming inspection, documentation, test loading, monitoring, data collection, and reporting
- Present during data reviews and provide recommendations, as well as receive action items
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in battery testing and development
- Proven experience with Maccor battery testers and test script creation
- Proficiency in Python programming language for minimal data processing
- Strong understanding of battery chemistry
- Experience with Maccor and protection circuits interaction (Reading registers, creating SMB profiles, Maccor scripting)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with other battery testing equipment (battery simulators, data loggers, PPGs, AC and OCV readers) and software
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Pandas)
