BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst for an opportunity in Reston, VA (Hybrid)

Position Title: Data Analyst

Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid)

Anticipated Start Date: 11/03/2025

Expected Duration: 6+ months contract with strong possibility of extension

Job Type: [FULL TIME (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY) [CONTRACT], [HYBRID]

Pay Range: $51/hr. - $52.90/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

• Ability to analyze and gather insights from large volumes of Data
• Skilled in Python and SQL to write ETL scripts
• Understanding of AWS services, primarily Glue ETL and Redshift
• Good communication skills
• FNM experience as Data Engineer
• Angular JS skill needed
• Data Analyst gathers user requirements for database changes, analyzes database requirements, creates specifications for the ETL team to load the data to the database, participates in functional design sessions, creates and executes test scripts for the load of the database, and aids in the escalation/resolution of data issues.
• The candidate must be familiar with the development of the lifecycle and must be proficient in querying databases via SQL or other tools.

Skills:

• Expertise with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ability to translate high level business requirements into database and ETL requirements (source to target mappings)
• Ability to document business processes
• Knowledge of SQL for querying databases
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask is critical
• Knowledge of testing tools such as Mercury Quality Center or HP Quality Center desired

Education/Work Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Professional certification(s) desired 15+ years software development experience with experience with projects of similar scope and complexity.
