Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager I (EE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hardware module definition, electrical engineering boards and flex assemblies, qualification and validation, and cross-functional program delivery and a proven ability to lead complex, multi-team programs from concept through qualification to mass production.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner across engineering, product management, architecture, industrial design, operations, and vendors to drive investigation, definition, and delivery of next-generation products.
  • Create development, delivery, and qualification strategies and schedules based on system, EE boards, and flex requirements, technical challenges, lead times, and business needs.
  • Manage communications within and between internal engineering teams and external vendors.
  • Set milestones with teams, communicate program status, and identify and address risks and setbacks.
  • Drive engineering teams to resolve technical issues to closure.
  • Develop best practices and technology development processes in a dynamic environment to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Plan and manage engineering builds from early prototypes through qualification builds.
  • Maintain complete and current program documentation for staff and leadership review.
  • Contribute to resource planning and budget management to achieve program objectives.
  • Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally based on program needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with phase-gate approaches to technology development.
  • Hands-on experience with board, flex, and EE module qualification, validation, and characterization.
  • Knowledge of issue and bug tracking, risk management, and mitigation planning.
  • Clear communication skills and proven experience working with technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors, including flexible hours and on-site vendor support as needed.
  • BS in an Engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years as a Program Manager leading EE programs from concept to mass production, preferably in consumer electronics.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid development environments integrated with phase gates.
  • Experience in consumer hardware lifecycle management and vendor manufacturing engagement.
