Job Description
We are seeking an Associate - SCM Logistics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in receiving, distribution, inventory control, transportation, and records management, and a proven ability to support safe, accurate, and timely movement of materials across a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support accurate receiving, distribution, warehousing, storage, and transportation of products in assigned departments.
- Manage daily material movement with attention to safety, security, productivity, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, administrators, SCM staff, vendors, and suppliers to expedite orders, process returns, and resolve invoice and receipt issues.
- Handle high-volume inquiries via phone, mail, and fax; act as a point of contact to resolve SCM-related inquiries and escalate as needed.
- Research and resolve transactions for Invoices not Received and Received not Invoiced using data from multiple sources.
- Investigate specialty requests including proof of delivery, shipping mode identification, aged items, and returns management.
- Assist with distribution of medical products and services, including controlled substances and hazardous materials, per policy.
- Use reports to ensure transaction data integrity, including special handling instructions, expediting, critical orders, and routine fulfillment.
- Identify trends causing processing delays and collaborate on long-term corrective actions.
- Comply with policies and governmental regulations; assist with projects and other duties as assigned by SCM leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong personal computer proficiency and data entry accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service orientation.
- Problem solving, continuous improvement mindset, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles related to invoice and receipt reconciliation.
- Education: High School diploma/GED and two years of supply chain or business-related experience; or Associate's Degree plus one year of experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Healthcare supply chain experience and familiarity with controlled substances and hazardous materials handling protocols.
- Experience with inventory management systems and reporting tools.
Licensure/Certification:
A valid driver's license may be required for roles that include driving responsibilities.
