Job Description:
Job Title: Software Architect
Type: Contract-to-Hire | Open to Remote (EST Hours)
Summary:
Join a dynamic team where you will design and maintain scalable software architecture, specializing in CMS systems. Leverage your expertise in .NET, Vue.js, EDI, and MSSQL to create robust solutions in the insurance and medical data domains. Drive quality improvement, document and standardize business process flows, and ensure alignment with strategic IT and business goals.
Desired Skills:
- .NET with Vue.js: Strong expertise in building and maintaining web-based applications.
- MSSQL (3+ years): Proficient in writing and optimizing stored procedures and functions.
- EDI Experience: Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange for seamless data integration.
- Insurance and Medical Data: Familiarity with processing and managing data specific to these domains.
- Quality Improvement: Experience implementing strategies to enhance software performance and workflows.
- Process Documentation: Skilled in documenting and standardizing business process flows
- Software Architecture & Development:
- Design scalable, high-performing software solutions for claims-related applications.
- Ensure data integrity and system compatibility across all platforms.
- Oversee software changes, prioritize enhancements, and maintain application integration.
- Collaboration & Leadership:
- Partner with management to align technology initiatives with business strategies.
- Mentor and manage developers, ensuring adherence to performance goals and development plans.
- Assist in large-scale implementations and manage overlapping project areas.
- Process Improvement:
- Document and standardize business process flows.
- Identify opportunities for quality improvement in software and workflows.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Management, or related field preferred. Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Experience:
- 10+ years in software development and architecture, including:
- 7+ years of hands-on development experience.
- 5+ years in database-driven applications (MSSQL, stored procedures/functions).
- Proficiency in .NET, Vue.js, EDI, and insurance or medical data.
- 10+ years in software development and architecture, including:
- Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in SDLC, modularization, security, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- A background credit check is required.
- Flexibility to work EST hours remotely.
- Mental: Strong analytical and multitasking abilities.
- Physical: Keyboarding and occasional travel as needed.
- Auditory/Visual: Clear vision, hearing, and verbal communication.
