Seed Technician

BC Forward is currently seeking a highly motivated Seed Technician in Lubbock, TX 79403.

Job Title: Seed Technician

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Lubbock, TX 79403

Anticipated Start Date: 09/03/2024

Job Type: Contract (40 hrs a week)

Pay Rate: $10 - $15/hr
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Worker Schedule:
40 hour per week but start times may vary depending on weather and work loads and time lines. Over time hours possible.

Job Description:
Vacuum/hand harvest cotton from field plots
* Assist with ginning and processing seed
* Weigh and record seed amounts on appropriate forms
* Package seed for shipment
* Maintain separation and purity between different lines
* Any other task that is required to maintain seed quality
* Follow all safety and seed quality requirements
