IT Hardware Support Technician 8162
Position Title: IT Hardware Support Technician
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Salary Range: $20ph - $23/phPlease note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hands-on experience in PC and printer refresh projects, including basic hardware troubleshooting. You'll work with internal teams to manage the deployment, relocation, and support of IT equipment across the organization.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate hardware/software installations and refresh activities in collaboration with Workstation Support Services.
- Perform on-site equipment installations, relocations, and basic troubleshooting.
- Label, document, and verify hardware specs per company standards and purchase orders.
- Act as the primary onsite technical liaison and provide customer support during deployments.
- Assist end users by explaining basic IT concepts and resolving hardware/software issues.
- Maintain and track inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with IT Security policies when handling, processing, or disposing of hardware.
- Collaborate with other IT teams (Help Desk, Applications, Materials Management, etc.) as needed.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in PC and printer refresh projects.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ticket tracking/documentation systems.
- Ability to evaluate IT needs and recommend hardware/software solutions.
- Comfortable with physical demands of the job (lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, working above shoulder height).
- Understanding of IT terminology (e.g., CPU, networking, LAN/WAN).
- 2+ years of customer service experience supporting computer systems.
- Associate degree in a related field.
- Technical school training in Computers, Technology, or Electronics.
- Required: High School Diploma
- Preferred: Associate Degree or Technical Training in a relevant field
