BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Service Center Associate II for an opportunity in Remote

Pay Range: [$14.00] - [$15.00]

Job Description:

Service Center Associate


**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**
To expedite the customer service claims application process, ensure correct case assignment, and serve as a liaison to assist customers in resolving issues and inquiries.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- Assign new claims to appropriate claims handlers.
- Accurately enter verbal and written application information into the claims management system, meeting both internal and external customer requirements.
- Communicate with customers via phone and written correspondence regarding documentation needed to process claims, time frames, and claim status.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers about all aspects of the claims process.
- Foster and uphold a quality service culture within the Customer Service Team.
- Regular attendance during scheduled work hours is required.

**ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Support the organization's quality programs.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**
- **Location:** Remote (preferred Central or Eastern Time Zone; no California or New York hires).
- **Training:** Starts on 10/14/24 and ends on 10/25/24. Equipment (desktop, monitors, keyboard, mouse, phone/headset) will be provided. Candidates may need to use personal devices for training.
- **Schedule:**
- Training: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM EST.
- Regular Schedule (after training):
- 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM EST
- 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM EST
- 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM EST
- 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM EST
- Must work one weekend day with one day off during the week.
- Total hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day, including a 30-minute lunch).

**PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS:**
- Have you ever worked in a call center before?
- What experience do you have working from home?
- How comfortable are you using Microsoft Office and managing multiple systems simultaneously? Please provide an example.
- What do you like/dislike about your current work environment?
- Have you worked with Sedgwick before? If yes, please provide the name of your manager, duration of employment, and reason for leaving.

**EDUCATION & LICENSING:**
- High school diploma or GED required.

**EXPERIENCE:**
- One (1) year of clerical or customer service experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:**
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.
