Engineer: Electrical - III
Shift Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Shift Days: Monday-Friday
Pay Range: [$52.58/hr] - [$56.20/hr] Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).Expected to work with a team on the development, integration, assembly and testing of electronic control instruments used in scientific research. Other responsibilities include designing robust testing procedures and documenting the process. Engineering duties include gathering technical design requirements and the test and verification of the target spec which incorporates electrical and mechanical design guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Must possess a good understanding of electrical analog and digital circuits, electronic components, electrical test and measurements, and computer programming.
- Must be familiar with the use of electrical test instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers to test and measure the target system's performance and validate its proper functioning and check EMI and Signal integrity performance. Understanding PCB design and assembly procedures is helpful for performing his duties.
- Prior experience with FPGA and digital design is desirable for understanding the target system design.
- Must be familiar with Python programming and scripting on Linux and Windows.
- C/C++ programming skill is a plus.
- Must possess an understanding of network programming and configuration.
- Proficient with Microsoft software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to ensure proper communication and documentation of the project.
5 essentials:
- Understanding of electrical circuits of electronic components (DAC, ADC, FPGA).
- Understanding of Electrical Measurement Techniques, Calibration and Measurement Automation.
- Familiar with Use of Electrical Test Instruments: Oscilloscope, Multimeter and Spectrum Analyzer.
- Python Programming.
5 desirable:
- C/C++ Programming.
- FPGA and Digital Design.
- Network configuration and programming.
- Test automation and Script Programming.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree - Electronics Engineering or min AS degree with 5 + years exp.
