Public Policy Manager IIBCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Public Policy Manager II for an opportunity in Onsite - Washington, DC!Position Title: Public Policy Manager II Location: Onsite - Washington, DCAnticipated Start Date: ASAPPlease note this is the target date and it is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 12 MonthsJob Type: Contract - [FULL TIME (40 Hours a week)]Pay Range: $50/hr. to $55/hr.Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description
? Prepare Client executives for meetings and public appearances involving third-party groups and stakeholders.
? Develop and lead internal processes to streamline team workflows and enhance cross-functional communication and collaboration.
? Manage and track budget for specific programs
? Develop and write a wide range of communications and policy materials
? Develop and track against metrics to measure success of programs and report back to leadership with progress
? Travel as required.
Minimum Qualifications
? 2-5 years of experience in government, technology, policy, or nonprofit sectors.
? Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
? Experience engaging with policy stakeholders.
? Experience managing policy programs and events.
? Knowledge of the federal and/or state policy-making processes.
? Proven communications and decision-making skills along with project management skill
? Candidates should be creative-first thinkers, with an ability to ideate and execute
? The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be strategic, flexible, and happy to work in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Years of Experience: 2-5

1. Program Management & Partnerships
? Proven experience developing and managing partnerships and leading program management across multiple organizations or stakeholders.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Community Building
? Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and organize communities of stakeholders, including direct involvement in stakeholder and community engagement and advocacy networks.
3. Agency, Corporate, or Nonprofit Collaboration
? Professional background in agency, corporate, or nonprofit environments, with a strong track record of cross-organizational collaboration and coordinating joint programs or campaigns.
Nice-to-Have Skills
1. Policy Expertise
? Strong understanding of the US policy landscape, particularly within technology, government, or nonprofit sectors.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration
? Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners across various functions.
3. Public Speaking & Representation
? Confident in representing the organization at events, conferences, and meetings with third-party groups.
4. Event Management
? Proven experience in events (planning, coordinating logistics, etc.)
