Software Engineer VBC forward is currently seeking an initiative to take Software Engineer V for Seattle WA Location. Position Title: Software Engineer V Location: Seattle WA Anticipated Start Date: 9/23/2024 Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BC forward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Possibility of getting extension)Job Type: ContractPay Range: $80 to Max $95/HR W2Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Computer Vision Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in 2D image processing, 3D geometry, and bundle adjustment, as well as experience in data collection methods and statistical analysis. As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, debugging, and testing computer vision algorithms against specified requirements. You will also be responsible for using simulation or test datasets to validate the algorithm. The algorithms will be used to provide calibration for sensors to enable machine perception algorithms.The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, as you will be required to work with cross-functional teams to define data collection methods and to present your findings to stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement computer vision algorithms that meet specific requirements.
- Define data collection methods and manage data acquisition for use in developing algorithms.
- Perform statistical analysis and use simulation or test datasets to validate the algorithm.
- Debug, test and validate algorithms to ensure high-quality results.
- Develop geometric calibration algorithms including SLAM camera calibration, eye tracking camera calibration, inertial measurement unit calibration, and other sensors to be modeled.
- Use C++ to develop and optimize algorithms for real-time applications.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and data scientists.
- Participate in the design, development, and deployment of computer vision applications.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in computer vision engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python
- Experience with 2D image processing, 3D geometry, and/or bundle adjustment.
- Experience with statistical analysis
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
