Expected Duration: 6+ Months Contract with Strong Possibility of Extension.

Job Type: [Contract (40 hours weekly)], [Onsite]

Pay Range: $23.40/hr. - $30.63/hr.

Job description:

• This role is for an electrical technician that is part of a videoconferencing hardware engineering team.
• This individual will be responsible for a variety of work within the hardware engineering lab under the direction and guidance of electrical engineers and in conjunction with mechanical and software, and other engineers.
• This includes, but is not limited to, board-level testing, debug of electronics, minor electronic board rework (fine-pitch soldering), configuration of software and system hardware parameters, and testing of videoconferencing systems.
• This team is a development team, so candidates with experience in prototyping work or functioning in an R&D environment are highly preferred.
• The nature of the work requires this individual to work on assignments that are complex in nature and requires considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions.
• The candidate should be able to complete work with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures.
  

Qualifications:

• Uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new concepts/techniques and to complete assignments/tasks in innovative and effective ways.
• Expert knowledge on the general/technical aspects of the job.
• Works on assignments that are highly complex in nature where a strong degree of independent judgment, initiative and technical knowledge are required to resolve problems.
• Work is completed independently and has ability to handle most unique situations.
• Frequently determines methods and procedures for new assignments.
• Education and Experience Required: Typically, an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• May include highly experienced individuals performing equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Advanced knowledge in the field of electronics technology; experience with fine-pitch soldering and board-level test and debug.
