BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Program Manager for remote opportunity.

Position Title: Software Development Engineer 4

Location: Onsite, Portland, OR

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: CONTRACT

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hr. on W2

Summary:

Join a fast-moving team building modern, high-impact software products. The Senior Ruby on Rails Contractor role requires the ability to move fast, own projects end-to-end, and deliver production-ready features with minimal oversight. Work spans a modern stack-Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, and MySQL-to ship features that make a real difference.
This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in an environment where progress is achieved through iteration and initiative, not waiting for perfect specifications.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 9 years of professional experience with web development.
• Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of MySQL schema design and performance tuning.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver results quickly.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a remote, async-first, and fast-moving environment.

Education & Experience:

There are no specific degrees/certifications needed for the role.
