Position Title: mechanic/technician

Location: Forest Lake, MN

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 12 months contract

Job Type: contract role

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST

Salary Range: $22ph - $25ph

Job Description:

We're looking for a mechanically skilled technician with powersports or automotive experience to join our Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Engineering team. This role is all about getting your hands dirty refurbishing vehicles, prepping them for sale or scrap, and maintaining accurate inventory records. If you're confident in your wrenching abilities and comfortable logging work in Excel, this is a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge off-road equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Refurbish off-road vehicles including engine, transmission, and frame replacements

Prepare vehicles for sale and scrap, including draining fluids and removing batteries

Perform thorough vehicle inspections and updates using tablets and desktop systems

Log work in internal inventory tracking software (Excel-based)

Maintain clean and organized inventory storage areas (mezzanine, racking, vehicle storage)

Assist the ORV Development team with trail and track maintenance as needed

Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards

Travel occasionally to support inventory management at other facilities

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; 2-year technical degree preferred

3-5+ years as a powersports or automotive mechanic/technician

Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience

Basic computer and Microsoft Excel proficiency required

Must be detail-oriented with solid record-keeping skills

Comfortable using diagnostic tools, data acquisition systems, and basic fabrication/welding (preferred)

Valid driver's license required

Experience with forklifts and skid loaders (preferred)
