Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer - Python/TypeScript to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building secure, resilient applications using Python, TypeScript, React, and AWS and a proven ability to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software using Agile practices and modern DevOps techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Execute standard software solutions including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure, high-quality Python code with limited guidance.
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and implications.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to increase value realized by automation, CI, and CD.
• Break down solutions and resolve technical problems of basic to moderate complexity.
• Learn and apply system processes and methodologies to develop secure, stable code and systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Proficiency in Python and one or more general-purpose languages such as TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React JS and building a basic backend with an accompanying UI.
• Experience with AWS services including API Gateway, EC2, ECS, and S3.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and work within common frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, TDD, cloud development, application resiliency, and security practices.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments and using database querying languages including PL/SQL.
• Working proficiency across software engineering disciplines including analysis, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills:

• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience building machine learning models.
