Job Title: Database AnalystLocation: Raleigh, NC 27603Pay Rate: $40.00 - $44.80/hour Position DescriptionThe Database Analyst will play a key role in supporting audit activities by collecting, processing, and analyzing data from various state agencies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and hands-on experience with analytical tools and programming languages. This role involves collaborating closely with auditors, investigators, and government agencies to deliver data-driven insights that inform decision-making and help detect inefficiencies or fraud. Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple state government agencies.Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns in financial and operational data.Develop data models, dashboards, and visualizations to support audit findings and reports.Collaborate with audit teams to deliver actionable, data-driven insights.Assist in automating data analysis and reporting processes.Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with applicable regulations.Present findings and recommendations clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.Contribute to predictive modeling and risk assessments to uncover fraud, waste, and inefficiencies in public sector programs. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within government, auditing, or financial sectors.Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages.Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely.Familiarity with auditing principles, government accounting, or financial regulations.Knowledge of machine learning, data mining, or predictive analytics is a plus.Ability to work independently and in team-based environments.Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.Standard Onboarding RequirementsE-Verify Initial Case ResultNational Criminal Background Check Preferred Skills & ExperienceGovernment auditing or financial sector experienceAuditing standards and financial regulation familiarityPredictive analytics and machine learning exposureStrong experience in data presentation and stakeholder communication
