Job Description

We are seeking a Batch Weigher to join our team at the LOL facility. The role supports kettle preparation by pre-weighing ingredients, staging materials, and supplying kettles with the correct quantities to maintain production efficiency while following safety and food quality standards.

Schedule and Pay:

• Hours: 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM. Schedules may include days, nights, weekends, and some holidays. Hours subject to business needs.
• Days: Mon-Fri primarily. Weekend work may be required based on business needs.
• Steel toe shoes required.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-weigh ingredients according to production schedules and batch sheets.
• Add ingredients to scheduled kettles and support kettle rotations as needed.
• Formulate batches to meet procedure specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect raw materials for quality and sanitation prior to use.
• Check equipment such as flexicon and scales for proper operation and sanitation.
• Complete checklists, batch records, and reports, including lot codes, quality checks, times, and initials.
• Maintain ingredients covered, sealed, and properly identified at all times.
• Wash and sanitize kettles between rotations as required. Prepare and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Communicate with cooks and production on plans, changes, and needs to ensure efficiency.
• Follow HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices, and all Food and Personal Safety Procedures, company policies, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic arithmetic and understanding of weights and measurements.
• Ability to communicate with cooks and production personnel on the production plan.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience completing production checklists, batch records, and sanitation reports.
• Knowledge of HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, and climbing.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Use of personal protective equipment as required.
• Work across temperature zones, including cold and hot environments, and areas where dust may be present.
