Position Title: Sr IT Analyst/Programmer

Location: Eagan, MN

Anticipated Start Date: 03/31/2025

Expected Duration: 12+ months

Job Type: Full Time (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY) - CONTRACT - Remote

Pay Range: $50/hr to $56/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom system software, and/or the installation and maintenance of purchased systems software, as well as the configuration and support of hardware systems across the company.
• In conjunction with more senior technical staff, develop proposals that consider alternatives and business cases, and gain needed institutional approvals.
• Evaluates alternative approaches and presents recommendations to teams and unit leadership.
• Regularly reviews applications and makes modifications and/or updates to ensure currency and functionality within established environment.
• Maintains and supports multiple systems or complex software applications and their associated hardware at multiple sites.
• Produces and maintains documentation such as system requirements, designs, resource inventories, and plans.
• Provides technical and project leadership to other staff members, demonstrates initiative, and works independently as needed to accomplish responsibilities.
• Works effectively across departmental organizations gaining consensus of stakeholders.
• May interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
• Acts as a liaison to departments and vendors to adequately support the division's computing systems. Interfaces routinely with colleagues who may be located at any of the group practices to perform job responsibilities requiring virtual collaboration and partnership. Maybe required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience; Or, associate's degree and 7 years' experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience.

Skills and Experience:

Required Skills: ServiceNow, Structured Software

Skills Desired:

• Experience with Data Innovations Instrument Manager.
• Experience with Lab Process/Medical Terminology.
• Experience with SCC Soft, particularly Soft Lab and Soft DMI.
• Experience with enterprise servers & networking.
• Experience with Agile software development techniques.
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Experience with ADO
• Ability to work with customers to manage ambiguity.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.

Interface Development:

• Understand requirements from requestor.
• Set up interface in Data Innovations Instrument Manager and/or SCC Soft.
• Work with customers to test interface and adjust as needed.
• Document interface changes in Azure Dev Ops (ADO) and CMDB as appropriate.

Other Activities:

• May be asked to assist with maintaining servers for Instrument Manager and other systems.
• May be asked to collaborate on projects with other IT groups.
