BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Lab Reactor Technician in Beachwood, OH 44122

Job Title: Lab Reactor Technician
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Beachwood, OH 44122
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Contract (40 hrs. a week)
Pay Range: $25 -$30/hr
(Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Qualifications:

Have excellent laboratory skills, including detailed record keeping and knowledge of safe handling of chemicals, compressed gases, and related equipment

Able to write and follow laboratory procedures

Proficient with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

Have experience with laboratory or pilot-scale equipment; reactor experience a plus

Have strong focus and solid understanding of laboratory safety protocols

Proficient with MS Office software, particularly Excel

Able to safely lift up to 50 lb

Mechanically Inclined

Strong attention to detail

Experience in chemical or related industry preferred

Experience with gas chromatography (GC) a plus

Responsibilities:

Independently operate a variety of laboratory equipment, primarily autoclave and fixed-bed reactor systems

Maintain accurate, comprehensive run sheets, collect data, and report results

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment

Be able to safely handle a variety of hazardous chemicals (feed make-up, catalyst loading/unloading, sample collection, waste collection and disposal, etc.)

Assist with the installation of Swagelok tubing, fittings, valves, regulators, etc. as needed for reactor unit modification, construction, and repair.
