React Developer

BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated ReactJS Developer opportunity in Jersey City, NJ.

Position Title: ReactJS Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 12 Months Contract to Hire
Pay Rate Range: $58.12 - $61.87 W2
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Job Description:

* Design and develop resilient and robust web-based applications hosted on both cloud and on-premises platforms.

* Engage in the hands-on design and development of technical artifacts.

* Participate in technical reviews and contribute to defining and improving processes related to configuration management, deployment, and resiliency planning for the application.

* Maintain, enhance, and implement bug fixes; proactively monitor priority items, investigate issues, analyze solutions, and drive problems to resolution.

* Collaborate with cross-line-of-business (xLOB) teams to align technical requirements with existing offerings and the roadmap.

* Create system integration solutions and interfaces.

* Enforce best agile practices, such as story estimation and test-driven development.

* Drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

* Experience in leading development in addition to hands on experience using React, UX tools, Rest API, HTML, CSS/JSS, JavaScript / TypeScript/ESNext

* Hands on experience in the React Ecosystem, developing single page apps and/or micro-frontends

* Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.

* Understanding on when (and when not) to apply common front-end software design patterns (e.g., asynchronicity, promises, techniques to avoid prop drilling, etc.)

* Developing using flexible and extensible UI module integrated with Web API's and messaging (REST, JSON etc.). Experience with web services and API integration

* Experience in Jira, Jenkins, Bit bucket and implementation of test-driven development

* Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

* Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

* Strongly preferred hands-on Java or Python development experience.

* Experience with data unification, discovery, and governance is beneficial.

* General understanding of data governance practices.

* Database experience using RDBMS (Preferably Oracle) and NoSQL (Good to know).

* Independent and self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills

* AWS Integration and Deployment: Experience integrating ReactJS applications with AWS services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.

* Security and Best Practices: Understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles and policies, to ensure secure access and management of AWS resources in ReactJS applications.

* CI/CD and Monitoring: Familiarity with setting up CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline or similar tools, and knowledge of AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and logging application performance.
