Compensation Analyst

BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Compensation Analyst in Newark, DE

Expected Duration: Contract

Job Description:

  • The Stock Plan Administrator is responsible for all the corporation's stock-based compensation plans.
  • This includes but is not limited to plans for the members of the Board of Directors, executive management and management employees.
  • The incumbent also is responsible for managing the Corporation's stock transfer agent and outsourced administrator (if applicable). The incumbent must be able to work both independently and, on a team, and demonstrate a mastery of tax, financial reporting, SEC and contract issues for U.S. jurisdiction.
  • The incumbent must possess superb communication skills to be able to communicate both plan administration and plan changes to all levels throughout the corporation

Key Responsibilities:

Time Stock Plan Administration 85%

  • Ensures corporate compliance with all rules and regulations
  • Monitors securities trading compliance for insiders and other employees with restricted trading activities
  • Reviews all stock related SEC filings
  • Maintains broker relationships as the principal contact
  • Responds to all stock-based compensation inquiries
  • Works with HRIS to develop new technologies to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations and to help streamline the administration of all stock plans
  • Works with all levels of HR to develop, implement and communicate stock policy changes
  • Works with Financial Reporting to assure all stock plans are properly disclosed
  • May works with Independent Accountant to complete quarterly and annual audits of grant, vesting and cancellation events
  • Maintains records and estimates of options and shares granted for critical compliance function
  • Manages stock transfer agent to assure that shareholder records are accurate and that dividends are timely and accurately paid, if applicable
  • Assists in preparing annual proxy statement, including preparation of all equity charts Employee Stock Purchase Plan
Administration 15%

  • Oversees open enrollment windows
  • Executes purchase and delivery of shares for employees
  • Manages any employee questions
  • Creates training and education materials


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Equity Plan Administration and associated activities, preferably working in a financial services environment
  • Excellent knowledge of equity reporting requirements
  • Experience with Workday preferred
  • Familiarity with accounting and SOX regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications with advanced knowledge of Excel Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to accurately identify issues, resolve effectively and/or appropriately elevate to management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with the initiative to present new ideas, projects, and/or process improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately manage confidential material
  • Previous experience as a key project participant or lead in small to medium scale projects
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change
