Job Description

We are seeking a Production Worker to join our team at the Omnium facility. The role focuses on corn seed bagging and palletizing, as well as soybean seed treating, bagging, and palletizing. The successful candidate will follow written production orders, perform repetitive production activities, and maintain quality and safety standards.

Schedule and Onboarding Details:

• Shift: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Completed background check and drug test must be cleared before start
• Concentra physicals completed prior to site entry (Physical, HPE listening, OSHA questionnaire; no blood draw)
• Steel-toe shoes required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Please attach the completed St. Joseph Omnium questionnaire with the resume

Responsibilities:

• Bag and palletize corn seed per production orders
• Treat, bag, and palletize soybean seed to specification
• Follow written orders including quantities, lot numbers, and labels with accuracy
• Perform repetitive production tasks while meeting safety and quality standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Attention to detail with basic math and counting skills
• Effective one-on-one and group communication skills with solid interpersonal skills
• Punctual, flexible, and able to work on feet for prolonged periods in a fast-paced environment
• Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to pass forklift training test if needed

Preferred Skills:

• Prior production or seed handling experience
• Familiarity with safety guidelines in industrial environments

Equipment and Environment:

• Operation of production machinery as assigned
• No forklift, tractor, vehicle, manlift, respirator, or confined space work required
• Standard plant conditions; no extreme heat, cold, dust, or noise indicated
