Job Description
We are seeking a Regulatory Specialist - Scientific Writer to join our dynamic team supporting Global Regulatory Science Operations at the Haskell Research Station. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in scientific writing for toxicology and regulatory submissions, GLP-compliant documentation, and cross-functional collaboration and a proven ability to produce high-quality protocols and reports, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Draft high-quality toxicology protocols, study reports, and study summaries to support crop protection regulatory submissions.
Apply strong scientific writing skills with background knowledge in mammalian toxicology, ecotoxicology, or related biological sciences.
Perform quality control reviews of draft reports in alignment with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
Contribute to development and revision of report templates and assist with process optimization.
Facilitate report finalization and support audit responses.
Communicate with stakeholders and customers to clarify requirements and timelines.
Partner with teams to understand and fulfill regulatory reporting requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
Demonstrated scientific writing experience, preferably in regulatory or crop protection contexts.
Strong understanding of GLP standards and relevant regulatory guidelines.
Excellent attention to detail with ability to perform QC reviews on scientific documents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro to compile and edit documents.
Background in mammalian toxicology or ecotoxicology.
Role Logistics
Start: ASAP after interviews.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Interview: One round, in person and/or Microsoft Teams with team members and stakeholders.
Resume required.
On-site only. Non-local or remote candidates will not be considered.
Driving not required. No medical surveillance testing. No exposure to common allergens.
