Job Description
We are seeking a Logistics Technician II (Stockroom) to join our Commercial Aircraft Group on the 3rd shift schedule (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in material handling, logistics operations, and stockroom processes and a proven ability to support production and repair needs through accurate receiving, kitting, delivery, and inventory transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physical and transactional logistics operations supporting production, repair, development, and MRO requirements.
- Execute material delivery, kit pulls, material stocking, receiving, and packaging.
- Receive, package, count, and locate parts accurately within business systems.
- Develop working knowledge of internal software applications and business systems.
- Prioritize daily activities for processing received hardware to meet targets.
- Communicate with shop leads and repair operations to ensure schedule adherence.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and customer service representatives.
- Lift, bend, and handle hardware safely using cranes and lift carts for heavy articles.
- Handle emergencies and coordinate evacuations as needed.
- Answer incoming calls and coordinate communications to all associates on the shift.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred, or demonstrated ability to follow verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
- Competence with basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- At least 3 years of material handling or logistics experience.
- Valid New York State driver's license.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on 3rd shift in a production or repair environment.
- Familiarity with stockroom practices and kitting in aerospace or manufacturing settings.
