Job Description

We are seeking a Transportation Management Solutions (TMS) Architect to shape and lead the delivery of integrated, multi-modal transportation capabilities across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in SAP Transportation Management, SAP BTP-CPI integration, and cross-module SAP integration, and a proven ability to translate business priorities into scalable architectures that strengthen logistics networks and support strategic objectives. Milestone-based travel to headquarters may be required periodically.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and govern end-to-end transportation capabilities across planning, execution, and settlement to ensure continuity and alignment.
  • Champion the use of data and analytics to enable effective transportation decision making.
  • Develop architectural deliverables including system landscapes, integration flows, and process documentation.
  • Own transportation integration architecture across APIs, events, and EDI with robust error handling and monitoring.
  • Define technical standards that drive consistency and long-term maintainability.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for multi-modal operations including Rail, Truck, Barge, Vessel, and Containers.
  • Provide strategic insights to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and advance enterprise transportation objectives.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to align solution designs with the enterprise roadmap.
  • Lead architect working sessions to translate transportation pain points into scalable solution designs and prioritize backlogs.
  • Partner with transportation to define data architecture and governance for locations, carriers, equipment, lanes, and rates.
  • Define technical onboarding and interface specifications with carriers and visibility providers, including data contracts, SLAs, and exception handling.
  • Deliver concise, stakeholder-friendly documentation that supports alignment and implementation readiness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of recent end-to-end TMS implementation experience with strong supply chain planning and solution architecture background.
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional teams and enterprise initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide decisions.
  • Demonstrated data literacy across business use cases, sources, and analytical approaches.
  • Strong prioritization, problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with accuracy and accountability.

Preferred Skills:

  • SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) deep, hands-on expertise.
  • Expert SAP Integration using SAP BTP-CPI, connecting SAP S/4HANA with third-party systems.
  • Cross-module SAP integration expertise across SD, MM, and SAP CM (Commodity Management - ACM & IS-Oil).
  • Experience with Motive, Mastery, or SAP LeanIX.
  • Exposure to Tratics, Telegraph, Kaleris, and FourKites or similar visibility providers.
  • Industry experience supporting transportation in Agriculture and/or Oil & Gas; Brazil localization exposure is a plus.
  • Omni-channel logistics for bulk wholesale and retail distribution with distinct planning and execution needs.
  • Hybrid agile delivery, integration architecture, and modern transformation practices.
  • Modal expertise across Rail, Truck, Barge, Vessel, and Containers.
