BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Sample Prep Logistics Assistant in Research Triangle Park, NC 27709

Job Title: Sample Prep Logistics Assistant

Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Location: Research Triangle Park, NC 27709

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Contract (40 hrs. a week)

Pay Range: $18-$20/hr
(Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Work Schedule:
Hours are flexible. As long as they are working 8 hours a day Mon-Fri, start time, end time and lunch break can be flexible.

Job Description:
Duties
* Chemical Sample Handling (Picking, Packing & Shipping)
* Preparation activities for chemical samples
* Inventory and order management support
* Record keeping and documentation per department guidelines
* Support activities related to sample logistics

Requirements
* Proven record of reliability as a dependable team player that shows up to work each day
* Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills
* Ability to document activities accurately and responsibly
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to follow standard operating procedures and good lab practices
* Ability to adhere to all safe work practices and wear appropriate PPE
* Favorable results on pre-employment drug test, background check, and compliance documentation
* College Level Chemistry required
* Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs

Workspace
* This is not a bench lab setting, it is more of a warehouse setting
* Chemical handling
* Receiving chemical inventory
* Receive large 2 1/2 gallons of chemicals, need to break-down into 50ml sample sizes to send out
* Pouring chemicals from 1 container to another

Qualifications:
Laboratory Experience or Warehouse Experience
Associate's degree
Communication skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs on a daily basis
Additional medical screenings required
