Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technology Risk & Regulatory Engagement Officer functioning as an IT Business Analyst III to support timely and accurate Audit, Compliance, and Operational Risk engagements across Global Technology. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in technology risk management, audit readiness, regulatory engagements, and control assessment and a proven ability to coordinate complex exams, synthesize technical inputs, and deliver clear, accurate response materials under tight timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support complex technology audits and second line risk assessments from initiation through closure.
- Coordinate with technical subject matter experts to manage assessment flow, evidence collection, and aggressive timelines.
- Author, edit, and review responses and presentations for both overview and deep-dive topics on technical areas.
- Evaluate returned technical evidence for completeness, accuracy, and relevance; track and drive remediation of control gaps.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement across Technology, Operations, Audit, and GIS to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
- Perform thematic analysis to connect data points, identify trends, and articulate risk insights to leadership.
- Prepare and deliver concise status updates and executive-ready materials to senior leaders.
- Project manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail, issue tracking, and escalation when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years in internal controls, regulatory, audit, risk, legal, or compliance within financial services or technology.
- Proven ability to synthesize technical content into clear written responses and presentations for varied audiences.
- Strong relationship management and collaboration skills; ability to influence and build consensus.
- Comfort with ambiguity; ability to analyze, simplify, and solve complex problems.
- Detail orientation with rigorous document and evidence review for accuracy and relevance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment and execute timely decisions.
- Effective facilitation and presentation skills, including delivery to senior leaders.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills; proficiency with SharePoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of technology domain disciplines and audit or regulatory processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, or similar certification.
- Operational risk or compliance experience in the technology domain within banking.
- Bank-specific risk management and governance experience.
- Ability to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Role Logistics & Process Details:
- Work arrangement: Hybrid, minimum 3 days onsite. Onsite day 1.
- Start: ASAP. Interviews: 2 rounds, potentially a third.
- Locations approved: Charlotte, NC (1-007-55-01) and Plano, TX (2-973-05-38).
- Submissions: Max 3 per vendor. Glider required for ID verification.
- On resume: include current location, relocation plan, availability/start date, and any cooling-off period.
