Pay Range: $61/hr. to $67.62/hr (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a HPC Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HPC operations, server platform administration, VMware, and data center infrastructure and a proven ability to deliver technical solutions, lead customer engagements, and maintain stable, performant compute environments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams as a trusted advisor.
• Deliver technical support and leadership for solutions that meet customer business needs.
• Maintain expertise in leading-edge technologies and industry domain knowledge.
• Contribute to solution methodologies and best practices based on project experience.
• Shape technical strategies for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support revenue and customer satisfaction goals through high chargeability and quality delivery.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and support deal proposal development.
• Provide on-site technical support for the HPC environment, including SGI 8600 compute systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Administer and operate HPCM cluster management, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Support the DMF storage environment, coordinate upgrades, and monitor system health with the DMF team.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CDU cooling systems to sustain data center efficiency.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and coordinate with site administration to maintain stability.
• Support and collaborate with the site administrator on daily operations.
• Facilitate weekly operational meetings and coordinate projects in a light PM role.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or 11+ years without a degree.
• Advanced subject matter expertise across at least three major technology areas.
• Proficiency with HPC operations, SGI 8600, and HPCM cluster management.
• Experience with DMF storage, upgrades, and health monitoring.
• Knowledge of data center cooling systems, including CDU maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong VMware skills, including vCenter, vMotion, and vSphere 4.x or later.
• Familiarity with server management and automation tools such as Insight Control, iLO, and Operations Orchestration.
• Proven customer-facing consulting skills with the ability to act as a trusted advisor.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Emerson Aperture or comparable DCIM platforms.
• Process improvement leadership and policy establishment within technical operations.
