Legal Assistant
BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant
for an opportunity in Phoenix, AZ 85004.
Position Title: Legal Assistant
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85004
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
Please note this is the target date and it is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.
Expected Duration: 04 Months with the possibility of extension
Job Type: Hybrid (three days onsite - generally Monday through Thursday
Pay Range: $15/hr - $/hr
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Job Description:
Job Title: Legal Assistant (9807)
Location: 2200 N. Central Ave, Suite 100, Phoenix, Arizona 85004
Work Type: 100% Onsite
Duration: 4+ Month Contract (with strong possibility of extension)
Position Overview:
Education Preference: any sort of legal education experience.
Top Skills Needed: computer skills, Google Suite/Microsoft, being able to multitask across several platforms.
Hybrid Schedule: initially will be fully onsite, can move to hybrid work once fully trained.
Hybrid schedule will be remote 1 day/week.
Interviews: virtual interviews
Convert to FTE: potentially, depending on their performance the first 4-5 weeks on assignment.
English; speaking, writing, reading; Multi-task capabilities; Manage conflicting priorities and demands, knowledge of Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets), Adobe Acrobat; Operating various office equipment.
Use of computer with multiple programs running simultaneously; Customer service techniques; Interpersonal skills to handle
internal and external customer complaints and concerns. Effectively communicate (e.g. verbal, written, and reading) with internal and external customers, ALJs, coworkers, agency personnel, supervisors, and managers.
Work with minimal supervision; Use critical thinking to analyze complex appeals requests, resolve conflicts between competing information, and extract and capture
pertinent legal information.
