Job Description
We are seeking a ServiceDesk Specialist to join our Client Services Team supporting the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Windows operating systems, PC hardware, and Microsoft 365 and a proven ability to deliver Tier 1 support, triage tickets, and collaborate across teams to improve service quality.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 ServiceDesk support by monitoring phones and emails, creating, and triaging tickets.
- Maintain working knowledge of new and emerging computing technologies and practices.
- Enhance support methods and communication through coaching, peer assistance, and training.
- Attend meetings to support the direction of the ITS office.
- Participate in team projects to improve the quality and efficiency of the ITS Support Team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Windows-based operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Keen attention to detail and quality of work product.
- Ability to set and meet realistic deadlines consistently.
- Proactive and collaborative approach to service delivery.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Aptitude for learning new skills and tools.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Exposure to ITIL service management practices.
