Job Description

We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Technician GMP to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in GMP warehouse operations, materials handling, and shipping/receiving and a proven ability to execute compliant material movements, verify documentation, and support continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Perform materials management functions including pre-weigh, shipping, receiving, and delivery of GMP materials.
• Load, unload, and move materials across the site using approved equipment and procedures.
• Handle hazardous or controlled materials in accordance with regulatory requirements and endorsements.
• Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of received materials and document results accurately.
• Prepare shipping records, pack boxes, and stage parts and tooling for special shipments.
• Execute assigned daily duties and support floor lead to maintain safe, compliant operations.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members as needed.
• Promote continuous process improvement and contribute to a positive safety culture.
• Receive, inspect, and document GMP standard stock items per SOPs.
• Comply with Transportation Security Administration Security Threat Assessment requirements for warehouse access.
• Follow safety and environmental procedures and immediately report incidents, near misses, and suggestions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate degree and 7 years of experience, or high school diploma and 9 years of experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a warehouse or GMP-regulated environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and clear communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC desktop applications and business operations systems.
• Fundamental knowledge of inventory management principles.
• Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing.
• A.P.I.C.S. certification.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Safety:

• Standing for up to 8 hours per day.
• Climbing up to 6 flights of stairs within the facility.
• Lifting up to 40 lbs as required.
• Use of gloves and steel toe boots as needed; exposure to level 1 chemicals.
• Work in clean room environments with large mechanical equipment and loud conditions.
• Operate forklifts, electric pallet trucks, and other material handling equipment.
