Job Description
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to support production across two labs. The role will be shared between a June–August assignment with a 7:00 a.m. start time and a September–December assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience in PCR/qPCR, laboratory automation, and inventory management and a proven ability to execute SOP-driven workflows while maintaining production readiness.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute PCR/qPCR reactions by combining assay mixes, controls, and sample DNA per SOPs, exercising independent judgment where appropriate.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automation equipment and related lab systems in accordance with SOPs.
Maintain and organize oligo, reagent, and control inventories, removing outdated materials and ensuring replenishments meet production thresholds.
Perform routine lab support tasks including consumable management, restocking, cleaning, and general maintenance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with PCR/qPCR setup and analysis under SOPs.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot laboratory automation and instrumentation.
Strong organizational skills for inventory control and documentation.
Experience in production or high-throughput laboratory environments.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with LIMS or similar lab data systems.
Experience in GMP or ISO-regulated environments.
Additional Details:
Driving Required: No.
Special Equipment Required: None.
Total Positions: 1.
Hours per Day: 8.
