Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technology Risk & Regulatory Engagement Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in audit, operational risk, internal controls, and regulatory engagements within technology and a proven ability to coordinate complex exams, synthesize technical content, and deliver timely, accurate responses to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support complex technology-focused audits and second line risk assessments from initiation through completion.
- Develop well-positioned response materials, including overviews and deep-dive presentations on technical areas.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to manage assessment flow, evidence collection, and aggressive timelines.
- Analyze assessment questions, author, edit, and review responses for completeness, accuracy, and clarity.
- Review, validate, and track technical evidence; identify control gaps and drive appropriate disposition and remediation plans.
- Facilitate collaboration across Technology, Operations, Audit, and Information Security teams to ensure timely deliverables.
- Engage effectively with stakeholders and senior leaders to ensure awareness of risk, regulatory requirements, and impacts.
- Project manage concurrent workstreams, prioritize tasks, and support decision-making with concise communications and presentations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years in internal control, regulatory, audit, risk, legal, or compliance within financial services or technology.
- Ability to research, connect data points, and perform thematic analysis.
- Strong relationship management, collaboration, and consensus-building skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity and skill in simplifying complex problems through collaboration.
- Excellent writing and communication skills; capable of synthesizing technical content for varied audiences.
- Self-starter with strong organization and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
- Detail orientation with the ability to review documentation for accuracy and relevance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and make timely decisions, knowing when to engage others.
- Facilitation and presentation skills, including preparation of clear, concise, insightful materials for senior leaders.
- Project management capability with strong attention to detail and prioritization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of technology domain disciplines and related risk controls.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, or relevant work experience.
- CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, or similar certification.
- Operational risk or compliance experience in technology.
- Bank-specific risk management and governance experience.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Role Logistics & Interview Process:
- Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite. Onsite from day 1.
- Start date: June or ASAP.
- Interview process: 2 video rounds.
- Glider assessment with ID verification required.
- Approved locations: Charlotte, NC and Pennington, NJ
