BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Agronomy Sales Representative for a Fulltime Onsite opportunity

Position Title: Senior Agronomy Sales Representative

Location: Oakley, KS

Anticipated Start Date: 09/01/2025

Expected Duration: Fulltime (Direct Hire)

Job Type: FULL TIME (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY) - FULLTIME - ONSITE

Pay Range: $80,000/Year to $100,000/year

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Summary:

We're seeking a Senior Agronomy Sales Representative to serve farmers and producers across western Kansas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with growers, understands the agronomy landscape, and is motivated to grow relationships and revenue. You'll provide critical on-farm recommendations, sell crop inputs, and help your customers make decisions that impact yield and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell crop protection, seed, nutrients, and related agronomy services
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with farmers and producers
  • Make agronomic recommendations and sales presentations on-site
  • Collaborate with suppliers to align on product availability and pricing
  • Forecast product demand on a monthly and annual basis
  • Own territory P&L, drive growth, and improve margins
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute successful transactions
  • Work cross-functionally to expand wallet share and promote additional services
  • Support adoption of new ag technologies and tools in the field
  • Follow all safety practices and ensure a safe working environment
Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in sales, business development, or ag operations
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or related field
  • Proven experience in agronomy sales or direct-to-farm selling
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
