Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and support medium to high complexity projects within an enterprise program environment. The role will focus on the MSS & Telecom Device Segmentation Project, driving scope, schedule, dependencies, and delivery across cross-functional technical and operational teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in infrastructure project management and network segmentation, and a proven ability to achieve timely and compliant delivery aligned with governance and operational transition requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day execution of the MSS & Telecom Device Segmentation Project across pre-enforcement, enforcement, validation, re-enforcement, and operational transition phases.
  • Own and manage an integrated project plan, schedules, milestones, and completion criteria with budget responsibility up to USD 1 million.
  • Coordinate delivery across Information Security, Network Engineering, MSS, Telecom, HTM, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate intake, kickoff, working sessions, and recurring status and leadership updates.
  • Track and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, and drive mitigation or escalation as needed.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, approved charters, and governance bodies for segmentation.
  • Maintain documentation including enforcement metrics, decision logs, and dashboards for executive-ready reporting.
  • Support transition planning to steady-state operations with defined ownership, change management, and ongoing enforcement processes.
  • Advise IT staff on project management practices, standards, and methods and contribute to budget development and tracking.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to management and end users while managing multiple competing objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional IT infrastructure or cybersecurity projects.
  • Working understanding of network segmentation and enterprise networking concepts to manage technical dependencies and risks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based tools for reporting and documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in regulated enterprise environments.
  • Ability to develop clear project reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready status materials.
  • Experience translating technical execution into concise leadership communications and decision support.
  • Experience level: 7+ years leading IT projects with a Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years with a Master's degree, including experience with PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
  • Background in healthcare, security, or large enterprise segmentation initiatives aligned to zero trust and least privilege principles.

Engagement Characteristics:

  • Hands-on, execution-focused contractor role within an active, in-flight segmentation program.
  • High collaboration across security, network, and operational teams with strong emphasis on documentation and traceability.
  • Focus on repeatable enforcement processes and operational handoff readiness.
  • Hybrid schedule with approximately 50 percent remote work. Onsite presence as needed based on project demands.
