Materials Engineer IIIBCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Materials Engineer III for an opportunity in Redmond, WA! Position Title: Materials Engineer IIILocation: Redmond, WAAnticipated Start Date: ASAPPlease note this is the target date and it is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 12+ MonthsJob Type: Contract - [FULL TIME (40 Hours a week)]Pay Range: $70/hr. to $75/hr.Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Optical Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical field..
- 2+ years of experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Chemistry
- Materials Science (with a focus on organic materials)
- Crystallization and Nucleation
- Solid State Analysis
- Optoelectrical Materials
- 2+ years of experience in experimental laboratory work, demonstrating the ability to translate and adapt concepts to a bench-top environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with optical measurement and analysis (examples: refractometry and/or ellipsometry) is highly preferred.
- Experience with solid-state analysis techniques (e.g., diffuse reflectance, XRD, spectroscopy, DSC, optical microscopy).
- Experience utilizing crystallographic software suites (e.g., CCDC suite, BGMN, Profex, Olex2).
- Experience with chromatographic techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, and/or GC.
- Experience working and communicating effectively in a cross-functional team setting.
- Proven track record of significant achievement, demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, or first-authored publications in relevant high-impact journals.
