Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cGMP manufacturing of viral vectors, including upstream virus production and downstream purification and a proven ability to execute manufacturing operations, maintain compliant documentation, and support investigations and process transfer activities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on cGMP manufacturing for upstream virus production and downstream purification.
- Prepare manufacturing support materials, including media and buffers.
- Set up and prepare equipment, including packing chromatography columns for clinical and commercial vector manufacturing.
- Participate in investigations of process deviations through data gathering, trending, and presentation.
- Review and follow manufacturing documents and procedures, including SOPs and batch records, for virus production and purification.
- Perform routine calculations and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain manufacturing equipment and associated records.
- Maintain safety procedures and compliance documentation.
- Contribute to manufacturing process monitoring for product transfer from research to manufacturing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within cGMP bioprocessing.
- Hands-on experience with upstream virus production and downstream purification techniques.
- Proficiency preparing media, buffers, and operating chromatography systems and columns.
- Ability to perform calculations, document activities accurately, and follow SOPs and batch records.
- Experience supporting deviation investigations with data collection, trending, and presentations.
- Bachelor's degree minimum.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with technology transfer from research to manufacturing.
- Familiarity with cGMP compliance systems and equipment maintenance programs.
