Job Description
We are seeking a Client Lead - Third-Party Onboarding (RIO Programme) to join our dynamic team in Boston. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in custody operations, SWIFT/SFTP connectivity, and end-to-end third-party onboarding and a proven ability to lead client-facing change delivery across trade lifecycle, cash, and corporate actions to the IMOS strategic platform.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the day-to-day client and third-party point of contact for onboarding custodians, transfer agents, fund accountants, brokers, counterparties, and collateral managers.
- Define scope, sequencing, timelines, and acceptance criteria to reach IMOS target state models.
- Drive intake, due diligence, connectivity setup, messaging certification, testing, go-live readiness, cutover, and stabilization with clear backout plans and evidence capture.
- Partner with Product, Operations, Reference Data, Testing, and Technology to define executable onboarding plans and ensure downstream readiness across trade lifecycle, cash, and corporate actions.
- Lead design and certification of SWIFT and SFTP connectivity, address non-standard and bespoke formats, and manage UAT planning, execution, and defect triage with defined entry and exit criteria.
- Maintain dashboards and metrics, report risks, issues, and decisions in daily programme updates, and enhance processes and controls throughout migration.
- Lead and coach an India-based pod with SLAs and quality standards to foster a high-performing, learning-focused culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of trade lifecycle, cash management, and corporate actions across products.
- Proven custody domain experience including processes, controls, and service models.
- Subject matter expertise in third-party SWIFT messaging and SFTP connectivity problem solving.
- Proficiency with Monday.com for workflow and portfolio management; advanced Excel and PowerPoint for MI and executive reporting.
- Demonstrated client-facing leadership with strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and operate across time zones.
- Experience in change delivery environments with evidence of end-to-end execution.
- Education: Degree preferred; or 10+ years of equivalent on-the-job experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Custody environment background with familiarity in common data formats used in custody and fund operations.
- SWIFT messaging knowledge across onboarding and certification.
- Understanding of the trade life cycle across asset classes.
- Alteryx or Tableau experience for onboarding dashboards and metrics.
Impact and Success Measures:
- Right-first-time connectivity and messaging certification with reduced go-live issues and stable post-migration operations supported by evidence and controls.
- Clear, data-driven reporting that surfaces risks and decisions promptly and shows progress against plans and SLAs with positive client and third-party feedback.
