Job Description

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will drive the execution, development, and optimization of innovative physicochemical processes that enable transformative optical materials for AR/VR applications. You will contribute through hands-on laboratory work, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and continuous process improvement with supply-chain partners.

Responsibilities:

• Implement complex standard operating procedures with precision and efficiency, identifying subtle differences that affect process effectiveness.
• Design experiments to evaluate feasibility and optimize process parameters.
• Identify and resolve issues in electromechanical laboratory systems and equipment in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Collect, document, and analyze data from experiments and processes; prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to material innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in process development.
• Laboratory experience with organic chemicals and solvents and use of relevant laboratory equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform design of experiments (DOE) and data analysis.
• Strong data handling, documentation, and organization skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Ph.D. in a relevant field with background in process development.
• Knowledge of organic chemistry, crystallization processes, and transport phenomena.
• Experience with optical metrology and refractive index measurements, such as prism couplers.
• Experience with slicing and dicing materials using a diamond wire saw.
• Experience with mechanical and chemical polishing methods.
• Experience automating lab equipment using LabVIEW or Java/Python.
