This role is focused on the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, with a strong emphasis on Schneider Electric and Delta platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to operational excellence in mission-critical environments. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Schneider and Delta UPS systems.
- Interpret and apply manufacturer maintenance standards, including Schneider's and Delta's service tiers (Routine, Intermediate, Manufacturer-level).
- Monitor and analyze environmental parameters (temperature, load, harmonics, humidity, vibration) using applicable software and tools.
- Respond to system alerts and failures with urgency and precision, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Participate in scheduled UPS training sessions and operational reviews, including Schneider and Delta-specific training events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure reliability and risk mitigation.
- Maintain detailed service records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven expertise in Schneider Electric and Delta UPS platforms.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and control units.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, load balancing, and power distribution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Completion of relevant technical certifications or manufacturer training preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code
- Preferred: Qualified Electrical Worker
- Required: All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification
- Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Role Overview:
The Senior Critical Environment Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) across mission-critical facilities. This role demands deep expertise in Schneider Electric's PSO and PME platforms, as well as Siemens Desigo, with a focus on system reliability, energy efficiency, and proactive issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
System Operations & Monitoring
- Operate and maintain BAS and EPMS platforms including Schneider PSO, PME, and Siemens Desigo.
- Conduct trend analysis and generate reports to identify potential equipment issues and optimize performance.
- Monitor system alarms and telemetry from central control platforms to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Perform inspections and validations of equipment performance across electrical, mechanical, and control disciplines.
Technical Expertise
- Navigate and manipulate BAS and EPMS systems to verify equipment status and execute approved procedures.
- Understand the interaction between central controllers and distributed devices within BAS.
- Apply ION programmability and advanced analytics in PME to customize logic and enhance system insights.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all operations comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in critical environment operations or facilities management.
- Hands-on experience with Schneider Electric PSO and PME, and Siemens Desigo systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data center or industrial environments.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and system schematics.

Position Summary
The Senior Critical Environment Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of UPS battery systems in high-availability environments. This role demands expertise in lithium-ion battery technologies and a strong understanding of battery monitoring systems, safety protocols, and preventative maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on UPS battery systems, with emphasis on lithium-ion technologies.
- Conduct battery inspections, capacity testing, and battery monitoring system (BMS) baseline resets.
- Review BMS data including voltage, current, temperature, and resistance trends to identify preexisting issues.
- Execute battery spot replacements, full refreshes, and disposal procedures in compliance with the Battery Tracking Global Procedure.
- Ensure all work orders are properly documented and tracked in CMMS systems using designated task codes.
- Collaborate with CE Managers and site teams to uphold safety and performance standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience with UPS battery systems, including lithium-ion.
- Familiarity with battery monitoring systems, capacity testing protocols, and corrective maintenance workflows.
- Certification in electrical systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, including Energized Electrical Work Permit (EEWP) procedures.
- Experience in data center operations or other critical infrastructure environments.
- Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.
