Key Responsibilities
- Enforce and maintain SCM processes for code commits, messages, approvals, and release procedures.
- Ensure repository integrity and manage version control across multiple development streams.
- Review and monitor committed code for accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards.
- Perform code merges, manual compilations, and troubleshooting of build and compilation errors.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to resolve post-release issues.
- Identify and triage software versus environment-related issues.
- Develop and maintain process-improvement scripts (ksh, bash, Perl, Python, ANT, PCT).
- Support organizational quality and performance programs.

- Skilled in creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation.

- Proficient with ticketing systems including Footprints and ServiceNow.
- Experienced in Unix/Linux/AIX command-line operations.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Bonus skills: Progress 4GL and scripting (ksh, bash, Perl, Python, ANT, PCT).
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in Software Configuration Management, Release Management, or related software development lifecycle processes.
Skills & Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency with SCM tools such as Subversion (SVN), CVS, GIT, and TFS.
- Experience with build management tools (MSBuild, Ant, Make, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Strong command-line experience with Unix/Linux/AIX environments.
- Experience administering Windows, UNIX, or Linux systems and managing web services (IIS, Apache).
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using .NET, Perl, PowerShell, or shell scripting.
- Working knowledge of VMWare environments.
- Hands-on experience with ticketing systems such as Footprints and ServiceNow.
- Progress 4GL experience is a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and presentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across technical teams.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Negotiation and customer support experience are a plus.
- Ability to work after-hours or on-call as needed.
Work Environment
- Remote role with occasional travel as required.
- Requires strong focus, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
