BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Developer opportunity in Reston, VA!

Job Type: [FULL TIME (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY) [CONTRACT], [Hybrid]

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

• Primary requirement strong background in Python, Python scripter (must support GitLab and harness AWS services within Python), Data engineering skills is preferred as the platform is moving towards AI and Gen AI tools.
• Advanced expertise in Python and other modern programming languages to address business needs.
• Strong containerization background and experience with EKS, as these are critical for the role.
• Expertise in designing, developing, deploying, and managing applications on EKS.
• The role involves developing engineering solutions to optimize CI/CD pipelines for the enterprise.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Solid understanding of microservices and containerization.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following technologies:
• J2EE, Java, EJB, ASP, PowerBuilder, C, C++, SQL, CGI, Windows, NT, Visual Basic, Oracle, Sybase, MQ Series.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional certifications are highly desirable.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience, including leading teams on projects of similar scope and complexity.
• Proven experience as a lead developer for projects with comparable responsibilities and challenges.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment.
