Summary:
A Customer Service Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers, providing assistance with inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role involves handling inbound and outbound interactions, addressing service or billing concerns, and offering effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers by addressing inquiries about products and services, ensuring accurate and timely information.
- Resolve service or billing complaints by processing exchanges, issuing refunds, or adjusting bills as necessary.
- Contact customers to provide updates on claim investigations, issue resolutions, or planned adjustments.
- Escalate unresolved concerns to the appropriate department for further investigation.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, and resolutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail with the ability to accurately document customer interactions.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Outlook and data entry software.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 0-2 years of customer service experience.
- Greeting patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Assisting patients with kiosk check-ins and troubleshooting any issues they may encounter.
- Delivering exceptional customer service by answering questions, providing guidance, and addressing concerns with patience and empathy.
- Maintaining an organized and efficient front desk area to facilitate smooth patient flow.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a seamless transition from check-in to appointment.
- Serving as the front-facing representative of the location, setting the tone for a positive patient experience.
