Field Test Engineer

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated FIELD TEST ENGINEER for an ONSITE opportunity!

Position Title: FIELD TEST ENGINEER
Location: ONSITE (Redmond WA)
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: Initial 7+ months contract
Job Type: Contract
Pay Range: $60/hr-$64/hr
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description
* Develop and execute Field Integration Test scenarios with several HW permutations and configurations
* Understanding functional embedded SW/HW validation and existing methods
* Basic understanding of IP networking and wireless technologies and testing these technologies
* Strong RF domain expertise with experience managing site surveys, assessing link budget/SINR, signal interference, spectrum management / coordination with other wireless systems
* Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
* Experience on manual test case creation and execution
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
* Experience automating manual HW/RF/FW/SW testing* Hands-on expertise in developing custom test automation tools, libraries, and integrations to enhance developer productivity
* Collaborate closely with software engineering and quality assurance teams to identify opportunities to improve test coverage and optimize testing workflows
* Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in test automation, identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies and methodologies
