BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated HR Specialist for an opportunity in Remote - AZ!

Position Title: HR Specialist

Location: Remote - AZ

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Please note this is the target date and it is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.

Expected Duration: 6+ months of contract

Job Type: [FULL TIME (>%3D30 HRS WEEKLY], [CONTRACT], [Remote]

Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.50/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Requirements:

  • HR (Human Resource).
  • Familiarity in processing and reviewing documents for I9 verifications.
  • Understanding in processing background checks.
  • HRIS (Workday).

Job Description:

Summary:

The main function of a human resources specialist is to plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management activities of an organization to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions. A typical human resources specialist is responsible for a wide range of organization development activities, such as employee compensation, recruitment (as it relates to policy), personnel policies and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective agreements, benefit and compensation policies, personnel procedures and classification program. Evaluate job positions, determining classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary.

Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales. Assist in preparing and maintaining personnel records and handbooks.

Prepare reports, such as organization and flow charts, and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information.

Skills:

Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage one time.

Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action).

Knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems.

Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required.

0-2 years' customer service-related experience required.

Comfortable taking and screening calls.

Understanding in processing background checks.

Familiarity in processing and reviewing documents for I9 verifications.

MUST have 2 years of experience, nothing less, requested per HM.

Detail oriented.

Workday - recruit and core modules STRONGLY preferred.
