Job Description

We are seeking a CE Facility Support Engineer - Mechanical 3 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in data center mechanical systems, HVAC, and preventative maintenance and a proven ability to execute standard operating procedures safely and support reliable facility operations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide escort to third-party contractors, vendors, and service providers on site.
• Perform assigned tasks such as rounds and initial assessments on equipment performance under supervision.
• Monitor maintenance and operations of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment in the data center with supervision.
• Conduct visual or non-intrusive preventative maintenance activities.
• Execute single CRAH preventative maintenance and AHU filter replacements.
• Perform eyewash, duress button, humidifier, and fire alarm preventative maintenance.
• Respond to VESDA alerts or supervisory notifications such as low airflow.
• Support generator preventative maintenance on quarterly and annual schedules.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and comply with physical security policies.
• Follow SOPs for critical environment planned work activities.

Top Skills Required:

* Experience with roof top units (RTU) HVAC

* Experience with Industrial Chillers preventative maintenance

* Experience with fire pump & fire alarm preventative maintenance

* Required: Previous datacenter experience

* Required: Experience with mechanical systems in a high availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environment such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields.

* Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

* Required: 5+ year(s) work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g. automotive, electrical, controls, data center)

* Required: Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3-, 4-, or 5-day work weeks

* Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous data center experience.
• Experience with mechanical systems in high-availability or critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with RTU HVAC, industrial chiller preventative maintenance, and fire pump and fire alarm PM.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of work or applied learning experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, controls, or data center operations.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and varying work weeks.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of data center SOPs and EOPs for mechanical systems.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and escorting contractors in secured facilities.

Work Schedule:

• A-side day shift: Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday.
• B-side day shift: Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday.

Tools, Equipment, and PPE:

• Supplier-provided Windows 11 compatible laptop required.
• Supplier-provided PPE required:
• Feet: Lace-up steel or composite toe boots that cover the ankle, have a slip-resistant sole, and meet ASTM F2413-05.
• Head: Type 2, ANSI Z89 approved hard hat or helmet.
• High-visibility vest.
• Eyes: ANSI, CE, or EN approved safety glasses with side shields.
