Job Description
We are seeking a Field Technical Support to join our team in a professional banking environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software and hardware support, device imaging, and enterprise ticketing and a proven ability to resolve end-user issues, manage deployments, and maintain accurate service documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, install, test, and replace hardware components and peripherals.
- Manage end-user hardware and software service issues to prevent escalation using ServiceNow.
- Perform PC reimaging, data backup, and data restoration for users both remotely and at the desk.
- Install and validate correct software versions and confirm device functionality.
- Assist with administration of VDI, patch management, encryption, antivirus, and incident/request management tools.
- Provide cross-divisional troubleshooting and maintain accurate ticket updates.
- Utilize enterprise utilities to troubleshoot end-user device functionality.
- Document service events precisely in work orders and ticketing systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional software and hardware support, including server and Cisco knowledge.
- Proficiency supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, and Windows OS.
- Experience with virtual/desktop/laptop management and infrastructure tools such as VDI, patching, encryption, antivirus, and ITSM workflows.
- Hands-on expertise backing up and recovering user data and reimaging devices remotely and onsite.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong customer communication and service skills with executive support exposure.
- Knowledge of two-factor authentication practices.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in banking or other regulated enterprise environments.
- Exposure to Cisco technologies in end-user support contexts.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Onsite Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, with flexibility to stay after 5:00 p.m. as needed.
- No travel required. Support location is Roanoke, VA.
- Business casual dress code.
