Job Description
We are seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist IV - Agency Servicing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in client servicing, loan operations, reconciliations, and credit agreement interpretation and a proven ability to execute complex loan servicing activities accurately while communicating expectations to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact for clients and business partners, providing professional service and timely updates.
- Initiate loan activity including fundings, repricings, and payments in accordance with credit agreements.
- Calculate and track complex interest and fee accruals across changing lender distributions.
- Reconcile daily funding and payment activity to statements and ledgers to ensure complete cash accounting.
- Read and interpret complex legal credit agreements and related documentation, coordinating with attorneys as needed.
- Initiate and reconcile automated funds movement per client and lender instructions.
- Monitor and escalate past due exceptions including principal, interest, and fees to maintain accurate loan accounting and invoicing.
- Maintain margin changes and communicate updates to the bank group.
- Provide information and reporting to clients, lenders, Middle Office, and business partners.
- Monitor control reports and update applicable comments and resolutions.
- Participate in system testing as needed, which may occur during non-business hours.
- Assist with administrative tasks associated with credit agreement terms and lifecycle events.
- Perform quality control on new deals, restructures, and amendments by validating system setup against credit agreements.
- Support co-workers and contribute to special projects and other assigned tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication with client-facing presence, including C-level interactions.
- Strong interpersonal and client servicing skills with the ability to set expectations professionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize concurrent assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently within a team environment and seek help when appropriate.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; general to intermediate accounting knowledge.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in loan servicing, agency servicing, or related operations.
Preferred Skills:
- Undergraduate degree.
- Experience reading and interpreting syndicated loan documentation or related legal documentation.
Work Arrangement & Additional Notes:
- Hybrid schedule. Currently two days in office, moving to three days in office.
- Standard hours 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with flexibility. Month-end and quarter-end work requires additional coverage.
- Interview process: one round, 30-45 minutes with two interviewers via Zoom.
- Role not eligible for employer-sponsored immigration support.
- Post-conversion grade 450, entry role.
