Job Description

We are seeking a CE Facility Support Engineer - Mechanical 3 to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data center mechanical systems, preventative maintenance, and critical environment operations and a proven ability to execute SOP-driven tasks safely, support vendor activities, and maintain uptime in a high-availability environment.

Responsibilities:

• Escort third-party contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and service providers on site.
• Complete assigned tasks with supervision, including rounds and initial equipment performance assessments.
• Monitor maintenance and operations of data center equipment (electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety) with supervision.
• Perform visual or non-intrusive preventative maintenance.
• Execute single CRAH preventative maintenance activities.
• Replace AHU filters and document activities.
• Conduct eyewash and duress button preventative maintenance.
• Perform humidifier preventative maintenance.
• Respond to VESDA alerts or supervisory conditions such as low airflow.
• Adhere to safety procedures and comply with all physical security policies.
• Follow SOPs for critical environment planned work activities.
• Support fire alarm preventative maintenance activities.
• Support generator preventative maintenance on quarterly and annual schedules.
• Work with rooftop HVAC units and industrial chillers during preventative maintenance.
• Assist with fire pump and fire alarm preventative maintenance.

Top Skills Required:

* Experience with roof top units (RTU) HVAC

* Experience with Industrial Chillers preventative maintenance

* Experience with fire pump & fire alarm preventative maintenance

* Required: Previous datacenter experience

* Required: Experience with mechanical systems in a high availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environment such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields.

* Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

* Required: 5+ year(s) work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g. automotive, electrical, controls, data center)

* Required: Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3-, 4-, or 5-day work weeks

* Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous data center experience.
• Experience with mechanical systems in high availability or critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of work or applied learning experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, controls, or data center operations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and varied work weeks.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with CRAH, AHU, RTU, industrial chillers, and VESDA systems.
• Experience executing SOP-driven maintenance in live critical environments.

Schedule & Equipment Requirements:

• A-side night shift: Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday (two resources).
• B-side night shift: Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday (two resources).
• Supplier-provided Windows 11 compatible laptop required.

Personal Protective Equipment (Supplier-Provided):

• Feet: Lace-up steel or composite toe boots covering the ankle with slip-resistant sole, meeting ASTM F2413-05 safety toe standards.
• Head: Type 2, ANSI Z89 approved hard hat or helmet.
• High-visibility vest.
• Eyes: ANSI, CE, or EN approved safety glasses with side shields.
